Today we went over how to build onto and stand out with our resumes. We discussed Artificial Intelligence, and now more companies will have “robots” read our resumes before humans. The downsides of this, on the recruitment side, is that you may miss out on a great candidate just because their resume didn’t contain a particular word or phrase. We went over content that should be in resumes, such as contact information, education, work experience, and summary statements. One thing I found interesting in today's lesson was watching the “video resume.” It is interesting to me because, like one of my classmates said, that is not something that someone would submit in the U.S.. However, my professor did point out that it would make us remember them, which I do agree with.
