Today we learned about saboteurs, which are patterns of thinking, reeling, and reacting. The aim of Saboteurs was to help us survive the real and imagined threats to our physical and emotional survival as children. As we grow up, we no longer need them, but they have become invisible inhabitants of our mind. In the exercise today, we identified our main saboteurs. I chose pleaser, restless, and hyper-vigilant. I think the saboteur that impacts me the most is being a people pleaser. I often tend to put others' needs before my own, which gets in the way of my own personal growth and opportunities at times. Today's lesson was beneficial, as it opened my eyes to see how impactful saboteurs can be on our lives.
